South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa, Calif.) has announced the upcoming opening of three new boutiques: Acne Studios, Moncler and Rolex. “These additions further solidify South Coast Plaza’s reputation as a hub for high-end shopping and style,” the complex said in a news release.

Here’s some specifics on each of the brands joining the 280-plus boutiques and restaurants at the plaza:

  • Acne Studios: A luxury fashion house based in Stockholm, Sweden, that offers ready-to-wear clothing, footwear, accessories, denim, magazines, furniture, books and exhibitions for men and women. The collections bear Jonny Johansson’s signature design, with an emphasis on tailoring and an eclectic use of materials and custom-developed fabrics.
  • Moncler: Known for its high-fashion outerwear, Moncler brings its luxurious jackets, coats and accessories to a redesigned and expanded South Coast Plaza boutique. Founded in 1952, the brand is widely viewed as a go-to destination for stylish winter apparel.
  • Rolex: The high-profile luxury watch brand is debuting a new boutique and location at the plaza, in collaboration with Tourneau. The store offers a wide selection of timepieces, presented by a multilingual staff.

In addition, the plaza recently welcomed these new retail tenants:

  • Amiri: Established in 2014 by Mike Amiri, this luxury house combines refined craftsmanship with the glamour of L.A.’s street culture.
  • Courrèges: Returning to the plaza after several decades of absence, this French fashion firm sells menswear, womenswear, bags and fragrances.
  • Zegna: This high-profile purveyor of luxury menswear offers made-to-measure menswear, including customizable icons like the Triple Stitch Sneaker.
  • Allen Edmonds: A provider of men’s footwear since 1922, Allen offers a range of dress shoes, casual shoes and accessories.
  • Palm Angels: This retailer blends Southern California skate culture and Italian craftsmanship.

You Wouldn’t Cut Your Own Hair. Why Run Your Own Retirement Sale?

After being in business for over a quarter of a century, Wayne Reid, owner of Wayne Jewelers in Wayne, Pennsylvania, decided it was time for a little “me time.” He says, “I’ve reached a point in my life where it’s time to slow down, enjoy a lot of things outside of the jewelry industry. It just seemed to be the right time.” He chose Wilkerson to handle his retirement sale because of their reputation and results. With financial goals exceeded, Reid says he made the right choice selecting Wilkerson to handle the sale. “They made every effort to push our jewelry to the forefront of the showcases,” he says, lauding Wilkerson for their finesse and expertise. Would he recommend them to other jewelers who want to make room for new merchandise, expand their business or like him, decide to call it a day? Absolutely he says, equating trying to do this kind of sale with cutting your own hair. “The results are going to happen but not as well as if you have a professional like Wilkerson do the job for you.”
