NEW YORK, NY – Fine jeweler Doryn Wallach has been named one of Centurion’s 2016 Emerging Designers. After the entrants for Centurion’s annual Emerging Designer Competition were narrowed down to 10 finalists by a panel of jewelry industry experts, three winners were chosen by the Centurion Advisory Board, with Doryn Wallach named among them.

Wallach made her United States trade show debut at Centurion, showcasing alongside a wide array of designers from other first-timers to established industry veterans. Centurion is an invitation-only event for high-end jewelers.

“It was an honor to be chosen as one of Centurion’s 2016 Emerging Designers,” says Wallach. “The show itself was an amazing experience. Being surrounded by such talent was inspiring, and I am so grateful to have been able to further connect with such an incredible and supportive community.”

Wallach’s debut collection features designs in 18k gold with satin finish surrounding Art Deco-inspired gems, such as black onyx, turquoise, pearl, red coral, and white and black diamonds.

Wallach’s entry into the jewelry industry was a natural progression. After nearly two decades as an interior designer, Doryn Wallach transferred her creative energy to fine jewelry. Her premiere collection is the direct result of several years of redesigning antique heirlooms gifted from family members while perfecting her craft. Wallach’s jewelry education includes her studies at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), Jewelry Arts Institute and International School of Gemology. Her passion for Art Deco, interior décor, architecture and antique jewelry is apparent in her design.

A graduate of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Wallach explains how her former career influenced her decision to take the leap into jewelry design. “Creating unique interiors by employing complementary forms, textures, colors and layers always came naturally to me, and I’m now using those skills with precious materials to adorn bodies rather than rooms,” she says.

She Wanted to Spend More Time with Her Kids. She Called Wilkerson.

Your children are precious. More precious than gold? Absolutely! Just ask Lesley Ann Davis, owner of Lesley Ann Jewels, an independent jewelry store that — until the end of 2023 — had quite a following in Houston, Texas. To spend more time with her four sons, all in high school, she decided to close her store. Luckily, she was familiar with Wilkerson and called them as soon as she knew she wanted to move on to bigger, better and more family-focused things. Was she happy with her decision? Yes, she was. Says Davis, “Any owner looking to make that life change, looking to retire, looking to close, looking for a pause in their career, I would recommend Wilkerson. Hands down!”
