5 Things We Never Knew About Henry Dunay

  1. When I was 14 years old, I swam the breaststroke in the Pan American Games.
  2. I once caught 10 piranhas on the Amazon in Bolivia. I never even realized I wanted to go piranha fishing until I got there and did it. Now I’d like to do it again!
  3. I’m a big fan of mystery books and films — not the blood and murder kind, but stories that let you follow the characters as they gather all the details and finally solve the mystery. Sherlock Holmes is one of my favorites.
  4. I’ve done 500-plus scuba dives in places all over the world. I especially loved the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. The islands are granite, and underwater, the boulders look big and round, like giant potatoes.
  5. My favorite gemstone is padparadscha sapphire. The highest price ever paid for one of my pieces at auction ($450,000) was a ring with a 19-carat oval padparadscha.

Ready to Relocate? Wilkerson Makes Your Move Seamless

When Brockhaus Jewelry decided to leave their longtime West Main Street storefront for a standalone building elsewhere in Norman, Oklahoma, owners John Brockhaus and Brad Shipman faced a familiar challenge: how to efficiently reduce inventory before the big move. Their solution? Partnering with liquidation specialists Wilkerson for a second time. "We'd already experienced Wilkerson's professionalism during a previous sale," Shipman recalls. "But their approach to our relocation event truly impressed us. They strategically prioritized our existing pieces while tactfully introducing complementary merchandise as inventory levels decreased." The carefully orchestrated sale didn't just meet targets—it shattered them. Asked if they'd endorse Wilkerson to industry colleagues planning similar transitions—whether relocating, retiring, or refreshing their space—both partners were emphatic in their approval. "The entire process was remarkably straightforward," Shipman notes. "Wilkerson delivered a well-structured program, paired us with a knowledgeable advisor, and managed every detail flawlessly from concept to completion."
