(PRESS RELEASE) MUMBAI, INDIA — The International Gemological Institute (IGI) will host the digital edition of the D Show at the Grand Hyatt, Goa from March 4 – 6, 2021 with a vast array of diamond design creations slated to appear. The three-day event promises India’s leading jewelry manufacturers and retailers opportunities to interact and explore new commercial ventures. As digital platforms continue to transform the way business is conducted, the Institute is excited to host this conference, which will allow jewelers to showcase their stellar collections online.
“This year marks the 10th D show and IGI is proud to announce the dual approach of virtual and in-person components,” remarked IGI CEO Roland Lorie. “A digital wave is indisputably overtaking every aspect of the jewelry business — from marketing to certification — and the Institute continues to lead the way.”
In addition to 32 distinguished manufacturers, the D Show is set to host over 100 retailers with exclusive pieces on display. From light-weight jewelry to intricate and ornate wedding creations, the show has designs specially curated for individual categories to address evolving consumer demand.
Given the limitations for in-person events, the Institute developed a platform for manufacturers to showcase their works of art for all attendees. The union of a conventional meeting and remote attendance is a beneficial method to help the participants access beautiful designs and view the details of each creation. Notably, participants may further examine each jewelry piece and verify its specifics via an application throughout the year.
“Our industry is witnessing a change like never before as digital forces are modernizing the way we operate, which makes innovation in this era crucial,” said President and Managing Director of IGI India Tehmasp Printer. “With this year’s Digital D Show, IGI intends to bring the best of technology, design and business possibilities to the sector.”
