One suspect is still at large.

A jewelry store owner in Clarkston, MI, was shot during a robbery, but still got into his truck and chased the suspects down.

The owner of Clarkston Jewelry Outlet suffered an injury to his lower back from a bullet that first struck the floor near him, the Oakland Press reports. One of the two suspects also struck him with a gun, police said.

The store owner was treated at a local hospital.

When the suspects, who wore ski masks, left the store with cash, jewelry and a gun that had been stored in a safe, the 51-year-old store owner got into his truck and followed them, according to authorities.

When he discovered them in a parking lot, a dangerous scene ensued: He attempted to block them in, and one of the suspects shot at him. The shots missed.

The Oakland Press reports that at that point, the store owner “rammed their car to stop them from leaving.”

The suspects ran away, and one of them was soon caught by police, but had not yet been charged. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for the other suspect.

Looking for a Seamless Sale? Call Wilkerson

After almost 60 years in business, Breakiron Jewelers in Erie, Pennsylvania, was closing its doors. And the store’s owner, Linda Breakiron, was ready for it. She had run the store as its sole owner since the beginning of the millennium and was looking forward to a change. Of course, she called Wilkerson. Breakiron talked to other jewelers who had used Wilkerson and was satisfied with their response. “They always had positive feedback,” she recalls. With the sales, marketing and even additional inventory that Wilkerson provided, Breakiron insists she could never have accomplished her going-out-of-business sale without Wilkerson’s help. She’s now ready for the journey ahead, but looking back, she’d be sure to recommend Wilkerson. “They just made the whole process very seamless.”
