LVMH to Provide “Environmental Training” to Employees

The luxury goods company is partnering with Vallée de la Millière near Paris.

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (Paris) has announced a five-year partnership with Vallée de la Millière, a 75-acre wetland located about an hour outside of Paris, home to more than 350 plant and animal species, WWD reports.

Vallée de la Millière is currently readying the wetland site for employee training and will host experiences for nongovernmental organizations, students and scientists beginning in 2024. LVMH plans to utilize this by providing biodiversity awareness and training for its roughly 200,000 employees.

Hélène Valade, LVMH’s Environmental Development Director, says the training programs will be tailored around employee functions. This includes procurement specialists evaluating suppliers of raw materials, sales associates responding to customer inquiries about a product’s eco credentials and logistics specialists navigating the most eco-friendly modes of product transport.

“Each employee can be an actor of change, and providing expert training is key … I think this amazing place will enable a reconnection with nature,” Valade said during the Change Now environmental summit that took place in Paris.
