(PRESS RELEASE) GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Montage and Wexler Insurance Agency/IJB are partnering with The Edge to offer their Montage Jewelry Care program. As of October 2017, The Edge and the Montage Jewelry Care (MJC) program is ready and available for all current Edge customers.

The Edge is the industry’s leading jewelry store management solution with over 3000 installations nationwide. The Edge software consists of POS, Customer and Inventory Management, Text Message Marketing and Automatic Notification, Direct and Mass Email Marketing, Integrated Websites, and now MJC is integrated as part of the checkout process for those retailers who sign up with Montage Jewelry Care. This integrated solution will allow retailers to offer MJC on every sale, manage MJC profits, manage and track sales associate’s commissions, and many other key benefits that all retailers need to operate a successful protection plan category.

Offering Montage Jewelry Care will add profit to a jeweler’s bottom line and cost them nothing to sign up! Jewelry care programs are big profit centers for chain jewelry stores. One out of five customers adding a protection plan to their purchase when offered one at point of sale can add $30,000+ profit to an average jewelry store per year. Chain jewelry stores add them to 2/3’s of their sales.

Wilkerson Testimonials

Downsizing? Wilkerson Is Here to Help

Orin Mazzoni, Jr., the owner of Orin Jewelers in Garden City and Northville, Michigan, decided it was time to downsize. With two locations and an eye on the future, Mazzoni asked Wilkerson to take the lead on closing the Garden City store. Mazzoni met Wilkerson’s Rick Hayes some years back, he says, and once he made up his mind to consolidate, he and Hayes “set up a timeline” for the sale. Despite the pandemic, Mazzoni says the everything went smoothly. “Many days, we had lines of people waiting to get in,” he says, adding that Wilkerson’s professionalism made it all worthwhile. “Whenever you do an event like this, you think, ‘I’ve been doing this my whole life. Do I really need to pay someone to do it for me?’ But then I realized, these guys are the pros and we need to move forward with them.”
