Texas Jeweler Takes Circuitous Route Back to Family Business

Chay Rees Runnels has a family history in jewelry, a Ph. D. in forestry, a background in hospitality and a future in gemology. She teaches hospitality at Stephen F. Austin University, works at Rees Jewelry in Nacogdoches, TX, with her mom, Charlene Rees, and plans to pursue a graduate gemologist degree.
