This Customer Got Her World War II Dates Confused

We recently had a customer come in and say, “Do you know what today is?” I said yes, December 7th. She said, “Yes, you’re right, but what took place today?”

“Hmm, not sure.”

“You young’uns don’t know, but today is D-Day!”

“I see.” (Me with a puzzled look).
