Police in Midtown Manhattan attempted to do a “felony car stop” when the driver sought to get away “by driving on the sidewalk and speeding past a group of people hanging out in front of Pergola restaurant,” according to the news report.

Police tried to stop the BMW by firing several shots at it. No one was injured.

A short car chase ensued, with the suspects abandoning the BMW after about a block. One suspect fled on foot and the other was taken into custody, according to CBS New York.
