(PRESS RELEASE) RALEIGH, NC — Bailey’s Fine Jewelry, the North Carolina-based, family owned-and-operated jeweler with locations in Raleigh, Rocky Mount and Greenville, is officially launching Marcilla Bailey, a new online jewelry brand with a studio in Los Angeles. Marcilla Bailey is led by female founder and CEO Marcilla “Marci” Bailey, a GIA Graduate Gemologist, diamond expert and jewelry fanatic. Marci and her husband, Trey, currently serve as third-generation owners of Bailey’s.

Marci has spent the past 17 years working as a jewelry buyer, designer and stylist for Bailey’s Fine Jewelry, where she’s helped thousands of couples find the perfect engagement ring. She has designed and curated many unique jewelry collections and has a keen eye for vintage and estate jewelry as well, all while building the brand’s social media community.

“I’ve absolutely loved learning the ins and outs of the jewelry business at Bailey’s, but I wanted to expand beyond the limitations of a brick-and-mortar store,” said Bailey. “We’ve seen online sales at Bailey’s skyrocket over the past several years, especially during the pandemic, but having physical locations will always be a major priority for Bailey’s in our home state. The Marcilla Bailey brand allows me to use my knowledge and passion to share my collections with a wider audience and a different brand voice that is my own.

Marcilla Bailey will offer a variety of designer jewelry, curated collections, engagement rings, custom jewelry, antique and estate pieces, and more. Marci’s combination of both technical expertise and an unmatched love for jewelry and the stories it can tell allows her to create a completely tailored experience for each client.

The brand will focus on online sales nationwide with the option for virtual appointments, but may consider physical store locations in the future beyond her L.A. studio. For more information or to shop Marcilla Bailey, visit: here.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
