(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — Facets of Fire Diamonds, renowned for the most significant diamond cutting innovation in 100 years, announced the appointment of Marilyn Diaz as vice president of Client Relations. She’ll be reporting to Glenn Markman, the CEO of Facets of Fire.

“Creating long-lasting relationships is crucial in our industry,” Glenn said, “and Marilyn is adept at doing this. She stands for quality and excellence in customer service and these values are shared by Facets of Fire.”

Marilyn joins Facets of Fire at a pivotal time in its brand expansion and growth. She will play a key role as a direct contact between the jewelry consultant and the brand, providing on-going communication. Her primary responsibilities will be working closely with jewelry consultants to drive sales and launch new partnerships, products and services. Marilyn will also help shape the company’s customer messaging, selling techniques and tools.

Marilyn brings over 30 years of extensive experience as an expert and pioneer in the branded diamond arena. Additionally, she has had great success with new product introductions, brand representation, client relations and guiding jewelry consultants. She helped launch the industry’s first branded diamond, Royal Cuts. This led to her role as Head of Client Relations for the Gabrielle brand, where she leveraged her skills and knowledge to generate significant retail partner growth. Next, Marilyn spent four years representing the fine jewelry brand Enchanted Disney. While at Enchanted, Marilyn honed her leadership abilities by managing and mentoring jewelry consultants and overseeing their weekly sales production. She also coordinated with marketing on campaigns, the execution of brand bestsellers, closeouts and new product lines through email blasts and social media.

“I am delighted to join Facets of Fire at this time,” said Marilyn, “especially as we accelerate and strengthen our retailer partnerships for continued growth and expansion.”

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
