SMOKE, MIRRORS AND a general lack of clarity … That description has been flung at Gem Quiz in the past, but it also neatly sums up our mystery stone in July — Smoky quartz. Our clues, however, were good enough for Stuart Tamres, owner of Talles Diamonds and Gold in Bel Air, MD, and he claimed the big prize – a Gem Geek t-shirt.
