(PRESS RELEASE) NEENAH, WI — Jewelers Mutual Group, the insurance and business solutions provider dedicated to the jewelry industry since 1913, announced that its innovative mobile app, the LUX Digital Vault, has earned a gold award from the Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA). The mobile app transforms the jewelry buying experience by embedding insurance into the process, digitizing customer interactions, and modernizing the insurance binding process. The awards were presented at the IMCA Ignite 2024 Annual Conference, held June 24th through 26th in Orlando, FL.

“Typically, insurance isn’t integrated into the jewelry purchase, leaving jewelry buying consumers at risk,” said John Kreul, chief information officer at Jewelers Mutual. “Our latest insurtech solution revolutionizes the experience by allowing customers to digitally organize their jewelry collections, store receipts and appraisals and, most importantly, activate a 15-day protection offer directly from Jewelers Mutual for new purchases so they can evaluate their insurance needs while their jewelry is protected before leaving the jewelry store.”

Customers can quickly apply for insurance, while maintaining access to both their collection and preferred jewelers via the app. Targeting both jewelers and customers, the app increases engagement, convenience and trust. Jewelers can stay connected with customers and invite them back to the store through the app, which is free for both jewelers and customers, adding value beyond the sale.

“We are deeply honored by this award and remain committed to elevating the customer experience through technologies that transform how we protect jewelry and allow consumers to stay digitally connected to their collections and jewelers. We thank the IMCA for recognizing our efforts,” said Kreul.

IMCA is the oldest insurance marketing trade association in North America and represents over 120 regional and specialty companies, general agencies, industry suppliers and prominent multi-line insurance companies and brokerage firms, as well as the top five property and casualty writers in the U.S. For 64 years, the IMCA Showcase Awards have recognized the most effective and innovative work in insurance marketing and communications. Entries are scored by a panel of judges and awarded either a Gold, Silver or Bronze award.
