The sighting: Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley recently posted a glamorous series of Instagram photos showcasing a strand of pearls on her ankle.

The jewels: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s anklet is by Jessica McCormack, from the brand’s Beaches collection. The anklet features freshwater pearls on green thread with a 0.40 TCW diamond set in blackened 18K white and yellow gold. The piece is listed on the designer’s website for £4,000.

The trends: Punk pearls – pearls that subvert traditional style norms – have been big for the past few years and are especially successful with Gen Z. Mermaid-core and Coastal Cowgirl are two of this summer’s big trends, and this checks the box for both.

What do we think? I think this looks awesome, but I must say: the idea of wearing pearls on my ankle does cause me some anxiety.

Surely jewels worn that close to the foot are a perfect moment for demi-fine? What if you trip? Or catch your stiletto in your anklet? But then again, I’m sure that Huntington-Whiteley can easily replace her pearl anklet if it does sustain any damage.

Judgement: 12/10 for a really cool looking piece that stresses me out a little bit.

Retiring? Let Wilkerson Do the Heavy Lifting

Retirement can be a great part of life. As Nanji Singadia puts it, “I want to retire and enjoy my life. I’m 78 now and I just want to take a break.” That said, Nanji decided that the best way to move ahead was to contact the experts at Wilkerson. He chose them because he knew that closing a store is a heavy lift. To maximize sales and move on to the next, best chapter of his life, he called Wilkerson—but not before asking his industry friends for their opinion. He found that Wilkerson was the company most recommended and says their professionalism, experience and the homework they did before the launch all helped to make his going out of business sale a success. “Wilkerson were working on the sale a month it took place,” he says. “They did a great job.”
