When his father unexpectedly passed away in 2010, Chris Wattsson, who was 20 at the time, took over the business, which was named America’s Coolest Store in 2004. Now 26, Chris has grown Wattsson & Wattsson Jewelers to an omni-channel business with a solid brick-and-mortar and e-commerce presence. Chris enjoys creating custom pieces that reflect the unique features of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He is studying to get his pyrotechnician license so he can oversee the community’s Fourth of July fireworks.
