Shree Ramkrishna Exports Conducts Its 28th Multispeciality Medical Camp

(PRESS RELEASE) Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK), a leader in the world of diamonds with its philanthropic arm SRK Knowledge Foundation (SRKKF) conducted a free Multispeciality Medical camp in the tribal district of Dang in Gujarat. 

Titled as “Multispeciality Medical Camp”, this was the 28th medical camp that SRKKF organized at Dang. Incidentally was held on the date of 28th August 2022.

The camp was organized at Kalibel & Mahal in the Ahwa regions of Dang, with Camp 1 at Kalibel (Dang Swaraj Ashram), and Camp 2 at Mahal (Government Primary school). 108 doctors including specialists like Paediatricians, Gynaecologists, Dermatologists, Ophthalmologists, Dentists, etc. and MS (General) and MD (Psychiatric) along with paramedical team took part in the camp. Dr. Ravi Mohanka (Liver Transplant specialist) who had performed liver transplantation of Shri Govindkaka last year, had also specially come from Mumbai to attend the medical camp.

The 4-hour camp saw participation 2000+ villagers and inhabitants of Dang. 900 patients were treated at the Mahal Camp, and 1400 patients were treated at the Kalibel camp. The Chief Guest during the medical camp were Shri Mangalbhai Gavit (Hon’lble Chief – Jilla panchayat, Dang), Shri Vijaybhai Patel (MLA, Dang), and Shri Vanrajbhai Nayak (Minister, Dang Ashram).

Under the leadership of Shri Govindkaka, Founder-Chairman of SRK and SRKKF, SRKKF since last 30 years, is conducting medical camps in the tribal areas with nearly 100 doctors.  Medical services, clothing donations, educational kits, deliveries of necessities for children, and everyone are being provided in the various villages of the Dang district. Till date, approx. 55,000 people have benefitted from these medical camps. 

Commenting on the initiative, Shri Govindkaka said, “Tribal communities are a role model in the way they help in preservation of forest, land and water. They are an indispensable part of our eco-system. Together, we all must endeavor to strengthen and support them in the best possible manner.”
