Dilek Ertek, owner of a Tiffany & Co. jewelry empire in Turkey, has died in a fall from a cruise ship in the South Pacific.

She was 71.

Ertek “opened the first Tiffany store in Istanbul,” the Daily Mail reports. For more than two decades she served as the Tiffany distributor in Turkey.

The death is under investigation.

A spokesperson for Norwegian Cruise Line told the New York Post that the fall happened “while the ship was sailing in the Pacific Ocean on its way to French Polynesia.”
