Zillion Awards Its 2024 Women in STEM Scholarship to a University of Houston Student

Marina Mekhaeil

(PRESS RELEASE) BOSTON, MA – Zillion announces that Ms. Marina Mekhaeil is the 2024 recipient of its Women in STEM Scholarship. A Mechanical Engineering student at the Cullen College of Engineering of the University of Houston, Ms Mekhaeil’s passion for robotics and software programming, along with her strength of character and inspiring personal story, made her a standout among nearly 100 applicants.

Zillion created the “Zillion Women in STEM Scholarship” to aid and empower women to enter the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. The academic scholarship, designed to cover a portion of tuition costs for a female student majoring in a STEM discipline at an accredited US college or university, is profoundly important to Zillion. As a leader in embedded insurance, our innovation is directly attributed to a talented and diverse team, well represented by women in engineering and leadership roles.

“Zillion is rooted in creativity, learning and improving experiences”, said Adam Black, managing director at Zillion. “Ms. Mekhaeil has demonstrated a keen ability to embrace these skills while encouraging others, and particularly women, to advance in STEM. We are so excited to award our 2024 scholarship to a young person with tremendous drive and curiosity, and know that she will have a meaningful impact in her chosen field”.
