Walmart has removed glass jewelry cases from about a third of its 1,000 stores, Talk Business & Politics reports.
Since April 2018 it’s been eliminating jewelry from stores where there’s insufficient demand for the products.
Those stores continue to offer “costume jewelry, watches and other accessories that hang on modular racks or spinner displays.”
Even the stores that no longer sell finer jewelry have reconfigured the department. Jewelry no longer has its own department but has, instead, been combined with shoes.

A change that’s planned for April is the introduction of an exclusive costume jewelry line called Believe by Brilliance.
The pieces will be available at all Walmart stores and online, selling for $15 to $25.
