A jeweler in Pasadena, CA, was beaten with a pistol during a home invasion robbery.

The two gunmen took luxury watches and fled in a waiting car, Pasadena Now reports.

The robbery took place Wednesday night, with the suspects forcing their way into the apartment and demanding jewelry.

The victim, a 32-year-old independent jeweler, suffered injuries that were not considered major, police said.

Local police continue to investigate. Descriptions of the suspects and the getaway vehicle were not available.

In another home invasion case in the jewelry industry, the owners of a jewelry store in Wethersfield, CT, were robbed at gunpoint in their home. The culprits took $145,000 in cash and jewelry.
