Claire’s (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) has opened its first store in Mexico, with local partner Exalta. The 1227-square-foot space is in Mexico City’s Plaza Satélite shopping complex and offers jewelry, fashion and hair accessories, toys, tech, cosmetics and more. It also features PIERCED by Claire’s, a private area at the back of the store offering that service.

“Claire’s is a beloved brand with a highly engaged audience, and as we continue to transform into a fashion powerhouse, we are dedicated to constantly expanding upon the places and ways we connect with them,” said Richard Flint, Claire’s President of Europe. “Opening a flagship store in Mexico presents an exciting opportunity to continue building on the brand’s reach through immersive experiences and is just the start of the opportunity we see in this market.”

However, Claire’s did not detail its expansion plans in Mexico. The company, which also operates the Icing retail brand, currently operates 2750 retail stores globally in 17 countries throughout North America and Europe, franchised stores in the Middle East and South Africa and a presence in more than 40 partner retailers worldwide. It also has a presence in the metaverse.

The results far exceeded his expectations — the sale significantly outperformed projections, delivering exceptional financial results that surpassed his retirement goals. “They were always there for support. If we needed anything, they were able to accomplish that,” David shares. For jewelers contemplating retirement, David’s experience demonstrates Wilkerson’s proven ability to deliver outstanding results while providing comprehensive support throughout the entire process.
