GJEPC Organizes India Pavilion at Vicenzaoro Winter 2019

19 exhibitors showcased their exquisite collection of jewelry pieces and loose stones.

(PRESS RELEASE) The Gem & Jewelry Export Promotion Council organized India Pavilion at the Vicenzaoro Winter 2019 held from 18th – 23rd January 2019. Covering a total area of 355 sqm, this year India Pavilion had 19 exhibitors, who showcased their exquisite collection of jewelry pieces and loose stones at hall no. 3.0 and hall no. 3.1 respectively.

Mr. Pramod Kumar Agrawal, chairman, GJEPC said, “India’s total exports of gems & jewelry to Europe accounted for US$ 3.94 billion in 2018. Europe has been an important market for India, and Italy has been an entry point for Europe in general and EU countries. Vicenzaoro offers a perfect platform for our exhibitors to learn and understand the market here and, also come up with jewelry pieces as per the changing trends. This also provides us the opportunity to enhance our existing trade relationship and create new ones.”

Vicenzaoro Winter is an event for the international jewelry industry, attended by a large number of international companies as well as by visitors and buyers from all over the globe. It’s a show with producers, brands, buyers, journalists, opinion leaders and trend setters from all over the world converged at Vicenza to present and discover the new collections and get inspired by the trends of the new year.

The GJEPC’s promotional activities included organizing a number of important trade shows held in the country like the India International Jewelry Show (IIJS), Signature IIJS, India Gem & Jewelry Machinery Expo (IGJME). The GJEPC also organized India Pavilions – participation of a number of companies under the GJEPC banner – at various international shows like JCK Las Vegas, Basel, the Hong Kong Show and several others worldwide. Various product-specific buyer-seller meets, sending and hosting trade delegations and sustained image building exercises through advertisements abroad, publications and audio-visuals are are some of the other trade promotion activities undertaken by the Council.
