Rocking It In Denver

The Hardrock Summit will return to the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Sept. 15-18. The event will feature an estimated 250 exhibitors and host the American Gem Trade Association’s AGTA GemFair Denver and the Denver Gem and Mineral Show.

Let’s Be Responsible

The Platinum Guild International (PGI) has launched an information portal about responsible sourcing to help the jewelry trade and consumers learn about how platinum is sourced, abiding by industry-leading guidelines concerning environmental standards, social impact and governance practices.

Get Fancy

The International Gemological Institute (IGI) has added a cut grade to its reports for loose fancy shaped diamonds. In addition to traditional polish and symmetry analysis, IGI will now assess the influence of cut quality on light behavior seen in fancy shapes using a four-step system combining proportions requirements with visual assessment.

Paper’s Return

The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is once again offering printed paper copies of their popular Diamond Dossier reports. The organization had previously announced its goal to make the reports digital-only starting at the beginning of 2023, but GIA has since reversed that decision due to concern from the industry.

Royal Selection

Royal Chain has launched its latest catalog. The Spring 2023 Collection offers a refreshing lineup of new styles sure to delight customers. Highlights include popular paperclip and curb chains now accented with colored gemstones, bold earrings designed for layering, expanded permanent jewelry options, and more.

She Wanted to Spend More Time with Her Kids. She Called Wilkerson.

Your children are precious. More precious than gold? Absolutely! Just ask Lesley Ann Davis, owner of Lesley Ann Jewels, an independent jewelry store that — until the end of 2023 — had quite a following in Houston, Texas. To spend more time with her four sons, all in high school, she decided to close her store. Luckily, she was familiar with Wilkerson and called them as soon as she knew she wanted to move on to bigger, better and more family-focused things. Was she happy with her decision? Yes, she was. Says Davis, “Any owner looking to make that life change, looking to retire, looking to close, looking for a pause in their career, I would recommend Wilkerson. Hands down!”
