Jay is beginning his next chapter, which includes spending more time with family and grandchildren. Jay’s love of the business began in 1977 with a part-time job at a local jewelry store. After graduating from college and taking some time off, Jay returned to jewelry because he was deeply passionate about it. He briefly worked wholesale in his basement. Then, in 1988, he opened his own store, and everything grew from there over the next 35 years.

Jay F. Jeweler defined itself through its top-tier customer service and world-class custom designs. The store became a retail manufacturer with a staff of trained, professional jewelers. Starting in 2007, Jay F. Jeweler was one of the first jewelers in the Twin Cities that began using computer-aided design and manufacturing
