JENNIFER LOPEZ SPARKLED as one of the best dressed at the 2024 MET Gala. She evoked perfection from head to toe in her Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown, which she spoke about on the red carpet. But for jewelry aficionados, the Tiffany & Co recent High Jewelry Blue Book pieces not only coordinated effortlessly with the gown but stole the spotlight of Lopez’s look. They also spoke to the theme of the exhibition: “Sleeping Beauties: Awakening Fashion.” These Tiffany Celéste Collection styles (the centerpiece of which was the necklace Lopez wore) were a homage to the uber-talented Tiffany designer Jean Schlumberger, whose jewelry was inspired by all forms of nature throughout his career. The Celéste pieces were designed by Nathalie Verdeille, chief artistic director of jewelry and high jewelry for Tiffany & Co., and referenced Schlumberger’s aesthetic — in effect, an awakening of the past.

The necklace Lopez wore is set in platinum and 18K yellow gold and was comprised of over 75 TCW of diamonds, with the center diamond weighing approximately 20 carats. She wore the matching bracelet as well as earrings in platinum, 18K yellow gold and diamonds, also from the Blue Book 2024: Tiffany Celéste Collection. On her finger, she wore a Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Bird on a Rock ring in platinum and 18k yellow gold with a fancy intense yellow diamond of over four carats, a white diamond of over four carats, pink sapphires and diamonds.

Needless to say, Lopez, one of the world’s most famous celebrities, showed her ability to look the part in swoon-worthy jewels and gown.

Honoring a Legacy: How Smith & Son Jewelers Exceeded Every Goal With Wilkerson

When Andrew Smith decided to close the Springfield, Massachusetts location of Smith & Son Jewelers, the decision came down to family. His father was retiring after 72 years in the business, and Andrew wanted to spend more time with his children and soon-to-arrive grandchildren. For this fourth-generation jeweler whose great-grandfather founded the company in 1918, closing the 107-year-old Springfield location required the right partner. Smith chose Wilkerson, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. "Everything they told me was 100% true," Smith says. "The ease and use of all their tools was wonderful." The consultants' knowledge and expertise proved invaluable. Smith and his father set their own financial goal, but Wilkerson proposed three more ambitious targets. "We thought we would never make it," Smith explains. "We were dead wrong. We hit our first goal, second goal and third goal. It was amazing." Smith's recommendation is emphatic: "I would never be able to do what they did by myself."
