THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL traditionally brings on the bling with some serious statement jewels. And this year, the opening and second night of the event were no exception. There were many diamond styles that were awe-inspiring, but for now, let’s focus on three different necklaces on women in three different professions that stood out as modern and ultra chic.

Let’s start with supermodel Taylor Hill, who was wearing perhaps the most jaw-dropping bib necklace that stole the first night’s spotlight of jewels. It’s from the Messika ‘Beyond The Light’ high jewelry collection, and it’s called the Imperial Move necklace. It covered her neck and hit just above her shoulders, coordinating perfectly with her Balmain strapless gown. It was a sight to behold.

Another showstopper was the Chaumet wheat necklace from Le Jardin de Chaumet high jewelry collection that the Saudi entrepreneur Yara Alnamlah wore to the opening ceremony. It was another bib style necklace that featured the iconic motif of the house. This particular style featured an emerald cut diamond drop from the center of the piece. She looked stunning it it with her custom Rami Kadi gown.

On the second evening at Cannes, it was actress Anya Taylor-Joy who wore the ultra-sophisticated and lyrical Tiffany & Co Orchid Curve Necklace from the brand’s Botanica High Jewelry collection with her Dior gown.

All three women pulled off their looks with elegance and grace. I can’t wait to see the jewels to come as the festival continues.

Looking for a Seamless Sale? Call Wilkerson

After almost 60 years in business, Breakiron Jewelers in Erie, Pennsylvania, was closing its doors. And the store’s owner, Linda Breakiron, was ready for it. She had run the store as its sole owner since the beginning of the millennium and was looking forward to a change. Of course, she called Wilkerson. Breakiron talked to other jewelers who had used Wilkerson and was satisfied with their response. “They always had positive feedback,” she recalls. With the sales, marketing and even additional inventory that Wilkerson provided, Breakiron insists she could never have accomplished her going-out-of-business sale without Wilkerson’s help. She’s now ready for the journey ahead, but looking back, she’d be sure to recommend Wilkerson. “They just made the whole process very seamless.”
