The sighting: Noted actor besties Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire were recently spotted gallivanting around Paris together wearing matching baseball caps and identical necklaces.

The jewels: I wish I had a specific maker for you on these necklaces, but the internet doesn’t seem to know that information yet, so neither do I. I can confirm, however, that each pendant is adorned with a howling wolf in profile.

The circular medallion-style pendants are metallic on metallic chains, and the wolf is depicted as a silhouette against a black background, which I think is probably black enamel but could also potentially be inlay.

The design is apparently a reference to the “wolf pack,” which is the name that the famous BFF’s friend group gave to themselves. The full crew includes Lukas Haas, Kevin Connolly, and occasionally, magician David Blaine.

For a better look at the necklaces, scroll to the 3rd and 4th photos in the Instagram embed above.

The trends: While best man friends wearing matching necklaces isn’t prevalent enough to be called a trend (yet), pendants with sentimental meaning and personally significant symbols are very popular.

What do we think? I can’t overstate the delight that filled me when I saw the photo of these two stars frolicking around Paris together in matching accessories. How whimsical! How adorable! I think all men with adult best friends should be encouraged to wear matching necklaces.

Really though, this is fun and I’m here for it. Having a matching necklace with your bestie that’s a reference to an inside the joke that the two of you share is a fantastic move and one that buddies of any age and gender can appreciate.

Judgement: 100/10

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
