Following a three-month tour of the United States, the 4.6 carat Esperanza diamond will go to auction, according to Pursuitist. The report says that, after 130 hours of cutting and polishing the diamond were invested, it’s the most valuable ever discovered in the U.S. at an estimated worth of $1 million. “This unique gem features a 147 facet, teardrop cut triolette shape (the first of its kind) and is both internally flawless and a “D” color – truly the best of the best.”
