The Plumb Club Welcomes 2 New Members

(PRESS RELEASE) The Plumb Club announces the addition of two new members: Samuel B and SHEFI. These two companies will complement the association’s 42 existing members, representing over 100 brands and will join the other important and leading companies exhibiting in the Plumb Club Pavilion at the JCK Las Vegas Show.

Michael Lerche, president of The Plumb Club, commented, “We are happy to welcome both Samuel B and SHEFI into the organization. Both companies underwent a rigorous vetting process and we definitely feel that we’ve made two great choices.”

Companies applying for membership in The Plumb Club must have maintained US based offices for a minimum of 5 years and agree to adhere to the organization’s “Code of Responsibility”, which each member signs annually. Members must also meet stringent requirements on business ethics, practices and conduct, as well as human rights, social and environmental responsibility and be in compliance with local, federal and international laws. Further, as of 2019, each member must apply within 90 days of acceptance to become certified by the RJC (Responsible Jewelry Council).

SHEFI is a top manufacturer celebrating their 45th anniversary this year. Mr. Dharam Chand Hirawat, “Mr. SHEFI”, founded the company in 1975. With offices in Mumbai and New York, SHEFI is a dependable, reliable and consistent supplier of programs that provide quick turn-around and top sellers. The SHEFI marketing department supplies duratrans, catalogs, window clings, website banners and more.

“We’ve had two major happenings this year,” said Sanjay Hirawat, president of SHEFI. “We are celebrating 45 years of business and now, we are a member of The Plumb Club. We are honored to become part of this respected group and excited to greet our retailers in our new home at JCK in The Plumb Club Pavilion.”

Samuel B has been serving the jewelry industry for over 35 years with offices located in New York and in Bali. They are known for their artisan-crafted sterling silver jewelry from Bali and a retailer programs such as guaranteed sale and one-to-one stock balancing, as well as their targeted marketing programs. Samuel B is also the manufacturer of a premier private-label line in gold and diamonds, currently offered to major retailers.

If It’s Time to Consolidate, It’s Time to Call Wilkerson

When Tom Moses decided to close one of the two Moses Jewelers stores in western Pennsylvania, it was time to call in the experts.
