(PRESS RELEASE) DOVER, NJ — Casio America, Inc. is announcing the release of the A120WEST-1A, a collaboration model inspired by the Netflix megahit, Stranger Things. Based on Casio’s original A120 which was released in the ‘80s, the design pays homage to the ‘Upside Down’, an alternate dimension that exists in parallel to the human world.

The A120WEST’s watch face depicts the world of the Stranger Things characters, with pop, colorful front buttons reminiscent of the 1980s with an authentic Demogorgon at the center, as he appears in the human world. When the LED light button is pressed, the show name is revealed in upside-down lettering with an ominous fiery glow, implying the presence of another world on the other side. The case back and translucent band are designed with eerie vines stretching out from the underworld, evoking the connection between the two worlds. Additionally, the watch packaging boasts illustrations of the show’s cast of young characters and the Stranger Things logo.

“The 80s and Casio are synonymous – so joining forces with Netflix on a Stranger Things collaboration timepiece was a natural fit,” said Tadashi Shibuya, vice president of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “We are thrilled to bring fans a retro timepiece that will not only turn heads but also transcend the upside down.”

Additional features include water resistance, a full auto calendar, stopwatch, daily alarm, and more. The Casio A120WEST will be available on June 21 for $99.95 here.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
