(PRESS RELEASE) GLASTONBURY, CT — Last year, Mom-preneurs and jewelry designing sisters Christina Baribault-Ortiz and Raeann Baribault-Schwartz of Baribault Jewelers took America by storm when they launched a new, inspirational jewelry line, called The Power to B at the Academy Awards as a result of their combined infertility struggles. Since then, the collection has given thousands of people across the nation the courage and positivity to B Strong, B Fierce, B Badass, B Limitless and B Fearless in overcoming any personal, professional, or emotional challenge. Now, due to popular demand and direct customer and fan feedback, the line has released six new power words- B Grateful, Be Blessed, B Present, B Brave, B Kind and B You-just in time for World Infertility Month in June.

“We are absolutely delighted that the line has been embraced by both men and women who have shared their compelling stories of success with us,” says Christina Baribault-Ortiz, co-founder of The Power to B. “The bracelets serve as a reminder that we are never alone and always connected to the positive energy of other people and the overall universe.”

The six new wearable words of encouragement were determined by surveys, focus groups and customer feedback conducted by the company. “Once we debuted the line at the Oscars, we received countless emails, direct messages and texts about ideas for other power words that resonated with both our customers and the general public,” adds Raeann Baribault-Schwartz, co-founder of The Power to B. “We hope to release new power word designs every year to grow the line on a global level.”

The Power to B was created after both sisters struggled with infertility issues that lasted an arduous six years before being able to conceive and start a family. What got them through the darkest time of their lives was their love for each other, as well as visual messages of positivity that they would place around their homes. This inspired the third-generation jewelry owners to create stunning bracelets featuring powerful phrases to remind women of all ages that they are not alone.

The bracelet design links cursive power words with a delicate chain held by a lobster claw clasp accented with a black gemstone known for positive energy. Each phrase is available in a variety of colored cords or new curb-style chain in silver or yellow gold-plated silver for $88.

“Affirmations work best when they’re used consistently, which is why our jewelry items are simple and striking to be worn every day,” explains Baribault-Ortiz. “What’s more The Power to B collection has universal appeal and provides tangible support for any person- regardless of age or gender- in navigating challenges in their life, such as relationships, health issues or career choices.”

Besides being connected to a worldwide network of support, that includes celebrities like Jordin Sparks, Viola Davis, Mary McCormack, Kevin Dillon, Anthony Anderson and Greg Tarzan Davis, wearers of The Power to B collection can feel good that their purchase is helping others in need. Specifically, the sisters have custom-designed limited-edition bracelets for a variety of local and national charities and donated proceeds to the particular cause. Thus far, more than $10,000 has been raised for such charities as the UCONN Foundation, Glastonbury Education Foundation, Bristol Police Heroes Fund, HOPE for Fertility Foundation, The Robb School Memorial Fund and the Breast Friends Fund, among others.

Baribault-Schwartz notes that another new addition to the jewelry line is a quick, online quiz that helps people identify their power word of choice either for themselves or as a gift for someone special. “Starting your day with a positive mindset and power word will truly change your life!”

One customer already experiencing the benefits of the expanded collection is Whitney B from California who says, “I just had my third daughter in April and life with a newborn and two other children under age 5 can be overwhelming to say the least! I bought myself a B Present bracelet after a particularly long week as a reminder that even on the hardest days, I wouldn’t trade these moments for anything. I am so lucky to have my girls and I always want to remember to be present with my family.”

All items in The Power to B collection is available online here or in-store at Baribault Jewelers at 81 Rankin Road in Glastonbury, Conn.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
