HALLE BERRY IS one of the most versatile actresses of our time. She can easily transform from an evil villain or heroine in various films to the dramatic emotional role of Leticia in Monster’s Ball, which won her an Oscar for Best Actress in 2002. She can also take on comedic roles. But as much as she defines her characters with precision, she is also a chameleon when it comes to her personal style. Honored at the recent 2021 People’s Choice Awards with the People’s Icon award, she was wearing multiple linear diamond earrings with a thin diamond ear climber.
At the People’s Choice Awards, she chose perfectly to accentuate her glistening Rick Owen suit with the subtle sparkle of earrings by Djula that were linear and offered a streamlined glam to her ensemble. She amped up the look with diamond rings. Although big statement jewelry tends to be all the rage right now, Halle knows how to lead her fans in a direction that is more befitting to everyday jewels. And she has once again provided a popular look that a wide demographic of women can wear.
The constants in her personal style are her body-skimming gowns and fashion highlighting her stunning figure, but that’s where consistency ends. It is often the length of her hair and the cut of her gowns’ necklines and bodices that define what jewelry she wears. We have seen her in small to ultra-large hoop earrings, close-to-the-ear diamond sparklers, stacked bracelets in gemstones and diamonds, and perfectly placed rings. Berry never looks overdone. She has also channeled some of her characters at red carpet events — such as Dorothy Dandridge and the jewels she wore to the award shows after shining in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge (1999).
