Jewelers for Children Announces Important Updates to the 2023 Jewelers for Children Day on September 23rd

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — Jewelers for Children (JFC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children whose lives have been affected by illness, abuse, or neglect announces the upcoming Jewelers for Children Day on September 23, 2023. This special day aims to unite retail jewelers across the country in a collective effort to make a positive impact on the lives of children facing various forms of adversity.

Since its inception, JFC has donated more than $61 million through its charity partners St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make-A-Wish America, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the National CASA/GAL Association. JFC also provides support to Make-A-Wish International and the Organization for Autism Research.

Jewelers for Children Day serves as a reminder of the significant role the jewelry industry plays in supporting these charitable causes and making a difference in the lives of children.

One of the key aspects of Jewelers for Children Day is that there is no monetary contribution necessary by the retailer in order to participate. JFC believes that every retailer can contribute by raising awareness about the event and the essential work they do to support children in need. By participating, retailers have the opportunity to showcase their commitment to philanthropy and community engagement.

To further amplify the impact of Jewelers for Children Day, JFC, in partnership with Elias World Media, have created a compelling lifestyle Video News Release (VNR) segment to generate nationally syndicated news media coverage to raise awareness of JFC Day and seasonal jewelry trends. The professionally produced video segment was filmed and edited to highlight the positive impact and generosity the jewelry industry has made on children’s lives and the significant role consumers can play when shopping on JFC Day to support this charitable cause.

Retailers who sign up to participate in JFC Day 2023 will have the exclusive opportunity to personalize the VNR by adding their logo, and the ability to use the video on their social media channels and in-store, as well as pitch it to their local news outlets. This personalized approach enables retailers to showcase their participation in this worthy cause, while also promoting their commitment to the local community.

“We are thrilled to invite all jewelers to join us in celebrating Jewelers for Children Day on September 23, 2023,” said David Rocha, JFC executive director. “This event provides a powerful platform for the jewelry industry to come together and make a lasting difference in the lives of children in need. By leveraging the personalized Video News Release, retailers can share their commitment to philanthropy and inspire their communities to get involved.”

Jewelers for Children encourages all retailers, whether large or small, to mark September 23, 2023, on their calendars and participate in this nationwide celebration. By joining hands with JFC, retailers can create a meaningful impact and help build a brighter future for children facing challenges.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
