BAD GAL RIRI might have missed the red carpet, but she sure didn’t miss when it came to the jewels she wore to the 80th Golden Globes Awards presentation. A$AP Rock and Rihanna tried to sneak in during Jennifer Coolidge’s presentation, but the paparazzi snapped away and there was no way for these two to make a quiet entrance. A video of the two arriving even went around Twitter and showed up on many of the online celebrity magazines. But let us get to what you came for: Rihanna’s jaw-dropping jewelry, which popped from her black Schiaparelli gown and her voluminous cape. Her modern sense of glamour stole the show when she added in jewelry designers REZA and Cartier High Jewelry.

The megastar was nominated for Best Original Song for “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and while she did not win that award, in my mind she won in the best jewels and best-dressed-couple categories.

Let’s start with the Cartier Sixième Sens High Jewelry necklace, which was made up of multiple fancy shapes of diamonds, including baguettes, princess cuts and and lozenges. It took on a contemporary Art Deco feel. As Rihanna usually does, she switched classics up to create her own style. Instead of wearing the pair of Cartier High Jewelry linear diamond earrings in the standard position, she wore one high up in what I believe was the helix position of her ear.

She wore one of a pair of Reza’s stunning pear-shaped diamond studs next to it. That combination plus the other designers’ styles that made up her ear party created a very Rihanna take — one sure to set some new trends.

Four Decades of Excellence: How Wilkerson Transformed a Jeweler's Retirement into Celebration

After 45 years serving the Milwaukee community, Treiber & Straub Jewelers owner Michael Straub faced a significant life transition. At 75, the veteran jeweler made a personal decision many business owners understand: "I think it's time. I want to enjoy my wife with my grandchildren for the next 10, 15 years." Wilkerson's expertise transformed this major business transition into an extraordinary success. Their comprehensive approach to managing the going-out-of-business sale created unprecedented customer response—with lines forming outside the store and limits on how many shoppers could enter at once due to fire safety regulations. The results exceeded all expectations. "Wilkerson did a phenomenal job," Straub enthuses. "They were there for you through the whole thing, helped you with promoting it, helping you on day-to-day business. I can't speak enough for how well they did." The partnership didn't just facilitate a business closing; it created a celebratory finale to decades of service while allowing Straub to confidently step into his well-earned retirement.
