The firm will celebrate with a ribbon-cutting.

(Press Release) ROCKET, which specializes in packaging and display for the retail fine jewelry market, announces the move of its New York City office to a facility at 375 Executive Blvd., Elmsford, NY, in Westchester County.

ROCKET’s current location in the Bronx borough has been the firm’ home for over 70 years. The new location officially opens at 2 p.m. Jan. 12 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony officiated by owner and CEO Michael Kaplan and town officials. Other honored guests will include all those involved with the move, including ROCKETS’s contractors, staff and key retail partners.

ROCKET, with offices also in California and China, is confident that the new facility will offer their retailers and wholesale jewelry clients an even more efficient and expanded buying experience.

“The New York team is really excited about this move,” said Kaplan, “and the timing couldn’t be better. Our increased operations in China call for additional support, so the move to our new location coincides perfectly by providing the space to grow our sales and support staff by about 20 percent.”

Beyond the fact that the contemporary and highly efficient facility is ideally suited for manufacturing, it also allows for updated operating procedures and high-tech-based logistics that will provide for expedited turn-around time for customers, especially important during peak periods.

On the plus side for employees is the abundance of landscaped greenery surrounding the office park and an easier commute for many.

“In April of 2017 we celebrate 100 years in the business, with the third and fourth generations still actively heading up the business,” Kaplan said. “That’s a rarity these days, and even more so, the fact that we uphold the core values that shaped this business from day one: consistency, dependability and longevity. I can’t think of a more fitting celebration than moving into this dynamic new facility and continuing to build on ROCKET’s success.”
