Stuller’s Bench Jeweler Workshop in Back

(PRESS RELEASE) LAFAYETTE, LA — Bench Jeweler Workshop, Stuller’s premier event for bench jewelers, is returning to its global headquarters in Lafayette, Louisiana, April 8-9, 2022.

“Bench Jeweler Workshop is the ultimate educational and networking event for bench jewelers,” says Belit Myers, senior vice president of tools, metals, and findings. “After two years we are excited to bring it back with several new classes and live demonstrations.”

The two-day event will feature some of the following classes and demos presented by Stuller and industry experts:

  • Fusion Welding, Laser Welding, and Laser Engraving Demos
  • Applying Special Finishes
  • 3D printing
  • Repair & Profit
  • Stuller.com: Web Based Tools
  • Round table discussions with Stuller experts

Registration for the fifth annual Battle of the Benches competition is currently open as well. It will take place on the demonstration floor and will feature four different mini challenges over the two days. The challenges include:

  • Stone Setting Challenge
  • Parts & Pieces Challenge
  • Laser Engraving Challenge
  • CAD Design Challenge

“We have not had an event this big since 2019, and we are thrilled to welcome our customers back to Stuller,” says Lauren Kessler, director of events. “Bench Jeweler Workshop weekend will be not only an educational one but a motivating one for all participating.”

When There’s No Succession Plan, Call Wilkerson

Bob Wesley, owner of Robert C. Wesley Jewelers in Scottsdale, Ariz., was a third-generation jeweler. When it was time to enjoy life on the other side of the counter, he weighed his options.
