COACHELLA WAS BACK in full swing this year after being canceled since 2019 due to the pandemic. As the largest music and arts festival, it brought celebrity sightings and on-trend fashion along with emerging and established musical talents and a few surprise guests thrown in.

Stars like Vanessa Hudgens and Alessandra Ambrosio were out during the event, which took place April 15-17 and then again April 22-24 in Indio, CA, just east of Palm Springs. Look at photos from the festival and you will immediately notice the colorful and spirited fashion and jewelry. The looks represent various decades at a festival known for its energetic vibe in everything from the clothes to the music, which includes styles such as pop, hip hop, rock, indie and dance.

Enter Jacquie Aiche, who has a cult following that she calls her “tribe” and who over the years has bejeweled many a celeb. This year, Hudgens and Ambrosio rocked her jewelry with layers of necklaces and bracelets as well as fingers full of rings in a variety of trendy styles.

Hudgens wore different combinations of layered chokers and pendants, including Aiche’s Chrysoprase Thunderbird and Diamond Necklace, Round Opal Turquoise and Diamond Inlay Sweet Leaf Necklace and Multi Shape Aquamarine and Diamond Shaker Necklace. She also wore Aiche’s diamond bezel teardrop body chain and her Inside Out Five Marquise Diamond Shaker hoops.

Ambrosio also wore a Thunderbird Diamond Necklace with bone, a yellow gold diamond Mama necklace, an Opal Rounded Rectangular Center Multi Gemstone Beaded Necklace, a Double Horn Inlay and Lapis Tusk Charm Necklace, and a bunch of rings in gemstones that included opal, amethyst and sapphire.

All pieces that Hudgens and Ambrosio are wearing can be found at jacquieaiche.com. Which would you choose for your mix of symbolic or stylized pieces?

When There’s No Succession Plan, Call Wilkerson

Bob Wesley, owner of Robert C. Wesley Jewelers in Scottsdale, Ariz., was a third-generation jeweler. When it was time to enjoy life on the other side of the counter, he weighed his options. His lease was nearing renewal time and with no succession plan, he decided it was time to call Wilkerson. There was plenty of inventory to sell and at first, says Wesley, he thought he might try to manage a sale himself. But he’s glad he didn’t. “There’s no way I could have done this as well as Wilkerson,” he says. Wilkerson took responsibility for the entire event, with every detail — from advertising to accounting — done, dusted and managed by the Wilkerson team. “It’s the complete package,” he says of the Wilkerson method of helping jewelers to easily go on to the next phase of their lives. “There’s no way any retailer can duplicate what they’ve done.”
