(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — Diamonds Do Good announced that its panel discussion originally scheduled for the 2020 AGS Conclave will become a webinar on May 20, 2020, at 11 a.m. EDT.

Natural diamonds do a lot of good on their journey from mine to finger. Today’s consumers demand brands and companies “do what’s right,” according to the latest Edelman Trust Barometer. “This is especially true for the new reality we all are facing with the COVID-19 pandemic” says Anna Martin, president of Diamonds Do Good and executive vice president for benefication at GIA.

The webinar will show from the mine to showcase, how natural diamonds create jobs and empower communities. This webinar will help tell the natural diamond story and communicate these positives to consumers, using the ethical narrative to shine a spotlight on the good that comes from natural diamonds, and inspiring consumers to be part of the ethical relationship between natural diamonds and the communities, governments, businesses, and employees they benefit.

Speakers include:

  • Marcus ter Haar, managing director, Okavango Diamond Company (ODC)
  • Dov Tannenbaum, principal, Leo Schachter Diamonds

She Wanted to Spend More Time with Her Kids. She Called Wilkerson.

Your children are precious. More precious than gold? Absolutely! Just ask Lesley Ann Davis, owner of Lesley Ann Jewels, an independent jewelry store that — until the end of 2023 — had quite a following in Houston, Texas. To spend more time with her four sons, all in high school, she decided to close her store. Luckily, she was familiar with Wilkerson and called them as soon as she knew she wanted to move on to bigger, better and more family-focused things. Was she happy with her decision? Yes, she was. Says Davis, “Any owner looking to make that life change, looking to retire, looking to close, looking for a pause in their career, I would recommend Wilkerson. Hands down!”
