Diamonds Do Good Announces April = Diamonds Do Good Month Initiative

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK – Global non-profit Diamonds Do Good has announced the launch of its inaugural “April = Diamonds Do Good Month” initiative to encourage retailers to educate, equip, and empower their customers to better understand the powerful, life-changing impact behind their purchase of natural diamonds.

“We believe that every natural diamond has a story to tell, and Diamonds Do Good Month provides an opportunity to amplify these stories and educate consumers about the positive impact of their purchase,” said Nancy Orem Lyman, executive director of Diamonds Do Good.

Diamonds Do Good will be collaborating with interested retailers across the nation to aid in their educational efforts through access to a variety of assets including:

  • Outreach to local news networks to spotlight their retail market with an educational focus on natural diamonds.
  • ‘Myth vs. Fact’ educational materials for sales associates to address common questions surrounding natural diamonds.
  • Social media posts and reels to educate consumers on the impact of their natural diamond purchase.
  • Proposed captions and images tailored to each retailer’s branding.
  • Inclusion of the retailer’s logo and impact story on DDG.com.
  • Branded DDG video for in-store and website use.
  • Suggested text and imagery for website headers throughout April.
  • Press release template for retailers to send to local news outlets.

“We’re thrilled to partner with retailers across the country to spread awareness about the positive contributions of natural diamonds,” said Kathy Corey, president of Diamonds Do Good and former owner of Day’s Jewelers. “Together, we can empower consumers to make informed choices and understand the life-changing impact behind their natural diamond purchase.”

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
