65 years ago today, Marlon Brando introduced himself to the wider world in the stage premiere of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. He also showed that a T-shirt makes a pretty darn cool outer garment. If you would like to add some Stanley Kowalski-style swagger to your wardrobe, sign up for the INSTORE Brain Squad at instoremag.com. It’s the coolest free tee going around. And membership will add some statistical polish to your business that Stanley could have used.

Dec. 12 Hanukkah comes early this year, allowing you to offer a distinct display that doesn’t get lost in all the Christmas revelry.

Dec. 23 Super Saturday may well be your biggest shopping day. Steer aggressively, knowing people at this late hour really just want a sure thing.

Dec. 28 On Good Riddance Day, join the crowd at Times Square in saying goodbye to your worst memory from 2017. Write down the things that have been plaguing you and toss it into the fireplace. Enjoy the release!

Wilkerson Testimonials

Downsizing? Wilkerson Is Here to Help

Orin Mazzoni, Jr., the owner of Orin Jewelers in Garden City and Northville, Michigan, decided it was time to downsize. With two locations and an eye on the future, Mazzoni asked Wilkerson to take the lead on closing the Garden City store. Mazzoni met Wilkerson’s Rick Hayes some years back, he says, and once he made up his mind to consolidate, he and Hayes “set up a timeline” for the sale. Despite the pandemic, Mazzoni says the everything went smoothly. “Many days, we had lines of people waiting to get in,” he says, adding that Wilkerson’s professionalism made it all worthwhile. “Whenever you do an event like this, you think, ‘I’ve been doing this my whole life. Do I really need to pay someone to do it for me?’ But then I realized, these guys are the pros and we need to move forward with them.”
