GABRIELLE UNION KEPT it simple, wearing a short LBD to celebrate the induction of her husband, former NBA star Dwyane Wade, into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Even more refreshing was that she didn’t bling it up, but rather took a more modern approach with Tiffany & Co.’s HardWear collection pieces.

Designers have been locking down (pun intended) this look for the past several years. Think Marla Aaron, whose pieces were inspired by the carabiner that renowned houses once worked in key holders. And Tiffany, inspired by the nuts, bolts and other goodies found in hardware stores, launched HardWear, which consists of industrial and minimalistic pieces, with and without diamonds, that customers can wear in multiples or with the pieces they already own.

Union wore three of the Lock Bangles from the collection stacked — one white gold with all pavé diamonds, another with half pavé diamonds and the last polished sterling silver. She also wore the company’s HardWear Link earrings in white gold with pavé diamonds.

The look was youthful and contemporary, and Union pulled it off beautifully, allowing her husband to shine.
