(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — The Plumb Club announces that Erik Qualman, best-selling author and the #1 speaker on digital leadership, will present “Why Digital Leaders Aren’t Digital” on Wednesday, March 9th at 2pm eastern time as part of the month-long festivities kicking off the launch of the Jewelers Resource Center.

Qualman will illustrate that, with the massive virtual shift that has occurred over the past 2 years, the key is understanding the powerful harmony between offline and online. He will showcase that, while technology changes every second, human nature never does. Attendees will learn digital leadership habits to stay ahead of competition, but never head of customers. Additionally, Qualman will showcase 5 habits that drive success for employees, partners, clients and consumers, while revealing new techniques for becoming a better leader, while positively impacting and transforming an organization.

“As part of the Jewelers Resource Center launch festivities, we are delighted to present Erik Qualman, a speaker whose prominence resounds throughout the digital world”, said Sam Sandberg, president of The Plumb Club. “The past two years have well taught the business community the importance of growing a virtual strategy. Erik Qualman is a leading voice in that area”.

Qualman is a best-selling author and keynote speaker and has spoken in 55 countries and reached 50 million people. His Socialnomics work has been covered from “60 Minutes” to “The Wall Street Journal” and is used by the National Guard and NASA. He has been listed by Forbes and Fortune as a top 100 digital influencer. His business books are used in over 200 universities and he has received an honorary doctorate for his groundbreaking work.

Following the presentation retail attendees will be given the opportunity to participate in a fun scavenger hunt and potentially receive multiple prizes that range from Dom Perignon champagne and Godiva chocolate to facilitated in store sales training and an expert website analysis and report.

Family Legacy, New Chapter: How Wilkerson Turns 89 Years of History Into Future Success

After 89 years of serving the Albany community, Harold Finkle Your Jeweler faced a pivotal decision. For third-generation owner Justin Finkle, the demanding hours of running a small business were taking precious time away from his young family. "After 23 years, I decided this was the time for me," Finkle explains. But closing a business with nearly nine decades of inventory and customer relationships isn't something easily managed alone. Wilkerson's comprehensive approach transformed this challenging transition into a remarkable success story. Their strategic planning handled everything from advertising and social media to inventory management and staffing — elements that would overwhelm most jewelers attempting to navigate a closing sale independently. The results speak volumes. "Wilkerson gave us three different tiers of potential goals," Finkle notes. "We've reached that third tier, that highest goal already, and we still have two weeks left of the sale." The partnership didn't just meet financial objectives—it exceeded them ahead of schedule.
