The Lisa Eisner earrings are eye-catchingly dramatic, slightly weird, and handmade by an independent, woman-owned brand.

The sighting: Superstar Gwyneth Paltrow recently attended the LA premiere of her husband’s project, The Brothers Sun. She wore a long-sleeved red dress and massive shoulder-dusting earrings for the event.

The jewels: Paltrow is wearing Lisa Eisner Jewelry’s Totem Earrings in hammered bronze. They’re formed of a series of abstract shapes joined together by links, so the full length of the earring is articulated and should move nicely when worn.

These sizable stunners clock in at a whopping 6.75 inches long and are listed on the designer’s website for $2,900.

The trends: I’m not going to lie, I originally wanted to write about this look because I thought these earrings were silver, thereby demonstrating the increasing white metal trend. But when I looked at more photos and found the source of the earrings, I realized this is yellow metal reflecting a flash.

Statement earrings are still a trend, though! Especially large statement earrings with no necklace.

What do we think? This is a great jewelry moment. The Lisa Eisner earrings are eye-catchingly dramatic, slightly weird, and handmade by an independent, woman-owned brand. What more could I ask from a celebrity jewelry moment? This checks all my boxes.

Judgement: 15/10 for slightly weird awesomeness

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
