Shree Ramkrishna Exports Is A Certified Member of Responsible Jewellery Council

(PRESS RELEASE) Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. (SRK), one of the globally leading diamond crafting and exports company is officially a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). RJC is a globally renowned sustainability standard setting organization for the jewelry and watch industry. Its Code of Practices is an international standard on responsible business practices for diamonds, gold and platinum group metals.

SRK has always believed in and practices impeccable craftsmanship of natural diamonds. All of its diamonds are sourced and crafted only with the highest standards of quality and compliance, and ethical practices. The diamond conglomerate’s principles of zero harm, resource efficiency, minimizing ecological footprint, care for the community and their personnel ensures that they never compromise on sustainable practices. This is evidenced by the fact that SRK has the greatest number of ISO certifications in the industry and both of its diamond crafting facilities in Surat are Platinum certified by U.S. Green Building Council. All initiatives of SRK are aligned with United Nations’s Sustainability Development Goals and they are already fulfilling 14 out of 17 goals.

Notably last month, SRK was recognized as a member of RJC’s Sustainable Development Task Force, which is a global collaborative effort to develop a systemic risk management framework that can reduce socio-economic inequalities.

Inspired by the vision of their Founder-Chairman, Shri Govind Dholakia, SRK is consistently raising awareness of the importance of protecting and preserving the nature through initiatives around solarizing rural areas, tree plantations, water management programs, etc. among others. The SRK Group contributes nearly 4.5% of its average net profit towards various community welfare initiatives. Helping with quality education for children has been one of SRK’s key goals and the company has provided such educational benefits as scholarships to 60,000+ students. In the past 25 years, the company has conducted free medical camps for more than 10,000 people of the tribal communities and provided healthcare benefits to around 3,500,000 people. Nearly 2,500+ youths have benefited from its authorized training centers- SRK Institute of Diamonds (SRKID) and SRK Institute of Skills (SRKIS).
