URBAN COWGIRLS WERE already a trend on the fall/winter 2024-25 runway shows, and Beyoncé might have cemented the theme in jewelry, wearing bolos at at events leading up to her Cowboy Carter album launch.

Two independent designer pieces she wore included a bolo by Nikos Koulis and another by Jacquie Aiche.

She posted on her Instagram feed Koulis’s white gold 11-carat Colombian emerald with trapezoid white diamond bolo, which she wore while attending the LVMH event in Paris on March 13. It was chicer than most of the more western-style bolos we saw on the runways, as Koulis is known for his Art Deco-inspired lariats and the vivid emerald elevated the bolo up a notch.

More recently, Jacquie Aiche posted Bey wearing her 14K rose gold diamond and onyx Blossom leather bolo necklace for an album promo. This bolo evoked more of an elegant bohemian cowgirl look.

While these bolos are hardly the silver and turquoise we traditionally see, they are definitely in keeping with what was happening on the European catwalks. And now that Beyoncé is wearing gemstone versions, I suspect we will see the trend evolve into more bejeweled styles and imitated widely by manufacturers in the fine and fashion jewelry sectors. I have already seen other independent and emerging designers fashioning some creative bolos in their design studios. So be ready: This is a jewelry trend that is about to explode.

Ready to Relocate? Wilkerson Makes Your Move Seamless

When Brockhaus Jewelry decided to leave their longtime West Main Street storefront for a standalone building elsewhere in Norman, Oklahoma, owners John Brockhaus and Brad Shipman faced a familiar challenge: how to efficiently reduce inventory before the big move. Their solution? Partnering with liquidation specialists Wilkerson for a second time. "We'd already experienced Wilkerson's professionalism during a previous sale," Shipman recalls. "But their approach to our relocation event truly impressed us. They strategically prioritized our existing pieces while tactfully introducing complementary merchandise as inventory levels decreased." The carefully orchestrated sale didn't just meet targets—it shattered them. Asked if they'd endorse Wilkerson to industry colleagues planning similar transitions—whether relocating, retiring, or refreshing their space—both partners were emphatic in their approval. "The entire process was remarkably straightforward," Shipman notes. "Wilkerson delivered a well-structured program, paired us with a knowledgeable advisor, and managed every detail flawlessly from concept to completion."
