WE’RE STILL POLISHING the crowns of this year’s America’s Coolest Stores Contest winners that our panel of expert judges decided on and can’t reveal them just yet. But to give you a taste of some of the 100-plus awesome stores that entered, we are going to let slip what we editors cumulatively picked as the best in each of the judging categories.

The exterior, interior, marketing and online presence of the stores featured here were outstanding enough to land them in the top five after preliminary judging by us INSTORE folks.

Check out instoremag.com the last week of July and look for our August issue to land in your mailbox about the same time to find out which 10 stores our judges chose to be the coolest in 2015.

She Wanted to Spend More Time with Her Kids. She Called Wilkerson.

Your children are precious. More precious than gold? Absolutely! Just ask Lesley Ann Davis, owner of Lesley Ann Jewels, an independent jewelry store that — until the end of 2023 — had quite a following in Houston, Texas. To spend more time with her four sons, all in high school, she decided to close her store. Luckily, she was familiar with Wilkerson and called them as soon as she knew she wanted to move on to bigger, better and more family-focused things. Was she happy with her decision? Yes, she was. Says Davis, “Any owner looking to make that life change, looking to retire, looking to close, looking for a pause in their career, I would recommend Wilkerson. Hands down!”
